About the Role:

As the Sales Manager (Retail), you will play a pivotal role in managing sales activities and driving customer satisfaction. We are seeking a hands-on candidate with excellent communication skills, physical fitness, and strength, as well as a trade or industrial background. Working closely with our client's dedicated team, you will oversee counter sales, phone sales, quoting, and email inquiries, ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Sales Assistants and oversee all aspects of sales activities, including counter sales, phone sales, and quotes.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Manager to plan daily jobs and ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to meet workload and requirements.
  • Stay informed about workplace needs by working closely with the Administration Manager.
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide assistance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with unloading trucks and vans, as well as general maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a presentable and organised sales counter and showroom area.
  • Develop a deep understanding of company systems and propose improvements and updates.

About You:

  • A trade or industrial background would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness and strength for hands-on work and occasional lifting of parts.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Proven experience in sales or a related field, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and multitask effectively.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and alternate weekends.
  • Willingness to contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.
